Finally the *nux bullet has bitten me. I have tried using Linux for ages but always had one excuse or another to switch back to Windows. Well this time I made up my mind. As of tomorrow, 2007 onwards, I have decided to switch for good to Linux. Yep ! call me a nerd or convert or back-stabber [duh!] but I have the latest version of Kubuntu hot off the press to roll on my Laptop. I did a trial run using the LiveCD of Kubuntu, which is a fantastic way to understand the system for newbies [n00bs]. Any one else planning to switch should seriously check out the LiveCD environment before making a switch.
I will be updating the status of my transistions from installation to drivers to other issues. Hope this works out bcz I aint looking back
