‘Missing’ girls dancing in streets: Police have ‘arrested’ the two unidentified Kuwaiti girls — aged 15 and 18 years — on whom the family had filed a missing persons report at a local police station after they had allegedly escaped from home fearing punishment from their father, reports Al-Rai daily. The runaway girls were arrested while dancing on a street in Ali Sabah Al-Salem (Umm Al-Haiman) following a call from an unidentified Kuwaiti man. Although the girls were wearing masks and dishdashas and disguised as boys, the manner in which they were dancing convinced onlookers that they were females. During interrogation they told police they had escaped from their home because their father had seen them kissing an unidentified youth and were afraid of being punished.

So to curb my hunger pangs, I finally decided to have a Tikka at the Chicken Tikka / Tikka Grill on Gulf Road, behind Sultan Center Salmiya. As usual, I ordered for time-tested Chicken Tikka menu, 2 pieces of chicken with rice [I am not a big fries fan]. So here comes the surprises…
- The place has new menu, and new name Tikka Grill
- Salad was on the house, as far as I could remember I always paid for it
- Prices have increased
- Salad bar is surrounded by chairs, made me feel like I am in musical chair contest
- Big disappointment was the food, the tikka didn’t taste like the original stuff they used to serve there
- I had one tikka and it felt like it had just been thrown in some clay oven, was dry and bit burnt
- Pooris have been replaced with lebanese small khubz
- Rice was dry, and littered with mushrooms
- Will I go back there? Nopes
