The bloody squeaky /squeezy toy ringtone is spreading like a god damn pandemic across the streets, cafes, offices, and boardrooms. Sounds way too childish when people set it as a notification for new sms, and the stupid thing chewy-chewys the silence.
I don’t have a sample of it, but if anyone wants to share it with me, send me an email to
, and I will post it for the sadistic pleasure of our visitors ![]()

Winter to do list:
- Control diet…oh yesss those fatty foods are heart warmingly tempting
- Turn off the air-con everywhere
- Wait till eternity for your car to warm up
- Take out those quilts and air them well
- Turn on the water-boiler at midnight
- Stock up on creams and lotions in your bathrooms to side tables to office cabinets to purses
- Stock up on tissues [you will have sneezy noses]
- Get those jackets, sweaters, cardigans, wooly-funky-monkey caps
- Those who wear Dishdashas, time to switch from white to everything else
- Wait for the festive season to kick in
- Plan for sumptuous buffets [refer to point 1]
- Get used to cosy-cuddly sessions with your loved ones
- And the WORST part is to wake up in freezing mornings at 6 am
Saturday was quite busy as I had a deadline to finish off a project in the Free Trade Zone. I decided to drop by at Movenpick FTZ for a light brunch. Tea Lounge was open and the Grand Piano caught my eye, I walked in, and ordered for coffee and Tiramisu. I have a sweet tooth
Well first impressions, Tea Lounge is a lovely place, well furnished, great service, and good selection of tea, coffee, light snacks and of course sweet stuff. Its very relaxing during the afternoon as the natural light pours in through the side passage, the place is quite, and sort of gives you a warm feeling.
They have piano sessions in the evenings, so will be dropping by for a session this week.
Overall a great place, but one thing that caught my eye was the flickering lamps [even in the afternoon] that look like candles. I don’t know about others but to me they seem so passé. And I rather they have real candles, and only during the evening piano sessions.
