I dont know something does not seem right. If a porcupine attacked this dog, the spikes would not be arranged in such a “ordeely fashion.” I grew up in the African bush. It is not natural for a porcupine to loose such a lot of spikes. It will take a long time to grow back such a large amount of spikes. Shame on the people who allowed this. And yes, the dog did need a vet. But note that the porcupine spikes are almost the same length. The porcupine have loner and different legths of spikes. Maybe, it ejected the spikes in the dog !!! Can’t fool me. Somebody, somewhere needs help. Google porcupine defence mechanisms. Google : Southern Porcupine – Athernes africanus. Aporcupine do not have such a lot of short spikes.

Okay really if you don’t know about porcupines don’t be so rude. Obviously you have never seen a dog that has been in a scrap with a porcupine. We pulled over 200 quills out of a dog. It was the second time he had scrapped with them; unfortunately dogs seem to go back for it over and over. Feel sorry for the owners; here in the Yukon it is eight hundred dollars to get them out at the vet.

that is crazy way would u let that happen can u take a comb and pull them out ,,u need to keep pulling on the quills with a comb it really works take a com, wit good size teeth and pull they will fall out try it that makes me cry looking at this picture i need to take that dog from the owner,, thats to bad that sould not have happen

i get so sick wene i lk at this poor dog they should have tape the vet taking all the quills out the wold be col to see i know they say to put baking soda and vinger together in put it on the qills for about 15 mins and it get soft then cute them in half then pul them out and it will come ut so easy but this dog has way to meany i look at this picture and want to shave her or cute them off her face i hate seeing her like that i would have killed that porcupine

now that dog crazy ,i saw a bulldog whit about 600 quills in his face the quills look so old and dryed out from the sun they look so dritey but this dog had so meany and the ower tryed pulling them out whit a pilers he got about 100 out they said it was so hard and the blood was all over they had to stop and go to the vet the dog had to go under it was to much and to much pain the poor dog how hard is it to pull them out it look easy to pull the quills out and there was a pitbull that had 300 in her mouth all in her teeth it look like a big mouth full of porcupine quills thes dogs are crazy they keep bitting at them and bitting at them what are they thing way get hurt like that they have to no it hurts like hell some get quills in there eye and there nose is allways full of quill to i would love to help the dog take all there quills out for them poor baby how long do u thing it took the vet to take all this dogs quills out i would say about 4 to 6 hours there are just so so mway
some one said take some baby oil and combo them out or pull them whit pilers go close to the skin this guy who come in my bar said hes dog came home wit them all over the dogs face was coverd all over his legs he realiy did have the money but the were to meany he frist tryed the vinger and baking soda it did work but everythime he pulled them out there was so much blood and it look easy but it not the quills were breaking off thats bad so he did take the dog to the vet it took hours he said it was 1400 thats about right what are u going to do u have take the dog to the vet the dogs doing good he moved here to ct f*** them porcupine
