UPDATE: NBK card fiasco
The GM office of NBK just called in to update me on the issue of NBK card fiasco. NBK management was notified of the case and they reviewed the whole thing. NBK management accepted the facts that were raised, and has apologized for the episode. Also NBK has re-instated my card limits. Although the mini-card remains closed, because this action was applicable on all mini-card holders.
NBK and NBK management, your apology is duly accepted. And thank you for taking time to review my case.
I do have some suggestions if they can be implemented:
- Please update all your customers by email and/or letter about the rules that are being followed for credit card holders after the Central Bank initiative
- Please add the above notice [credit card regulations] on your website especially on the NBK online-banking page
- In Kuwait very few people have direct mailing addresses [residential], but nearly everyone has a direct mailing address at their workplace. Please send in important correspondence to workplace
- Do advice your call center people to escalate the issue to available line managers if they are unable to resolve it over the phone
With this episode behind us…lets hope for a better business-customer relationship in future.
