Kuwait Airways flight KAC 542 from Cairo to Kuwait has miraculous escape after engines catch fire
A plane of the Kuwait Airways KAC 542, which operates on the route between Cairo and Kuwait, had to turn back half an hour after takeoff after one of its engines caught fire, it was learned from airport source . The aircraft, carrying 227 passengers, took off an hour late because of a failure of its right engine. The aircraft was half-hour in flight, when the engine caught fire, forcing the aircraft to return to Cairo International Airport, where firefighters and ambulances were waiting on the tarmac. The landing took place without problems and no passengers were injured.
