After winning the “Brand of the Year” trophy, Wataniya receives more accolades; it was honored with the “Editors Award for Outstanding Achievement” at the 5th edition of the annual CommsMEA awards held in Dubai on November 30th, 2010. Juha Petri Korhonen, the Marketing Director of Wataniya Telecom was present at the event to receive the award on behalf of Wataniya at Jumeirah Emirates Tower. The award ceremony was organized by CommsMEA, a leading business-to-business telecom publication. This prestigious event was attended by several high-ranking officials and key personalities from leading companies of the MENA region

Juha Petri Korhonen was proud to meet the expectations of the high-profile telecommunication experts’ panel and he said, “This has been an exceptionally good year for Wataniya. Our hard work, remarkable performance and commitment have received the recognition it deserves. The annual CommsMEA awards acknowledge those organizations that have helped to bring the communications sectors in the MENA region at par with global standards and have propelled the performance of telecommunication within the Middle East. This year the 15 awards were divided in four main categories identifying key areas of progress with the first category recognizing innovative services and applications, second focusing on specific aspects of operator’s businesses, and the third looking at the overall progress achieved by operators. The last category paid tribute to operators and individuals that have displayed a high level of commitment to the sector beyond the call of duty.

Since its commercial launch 11 years ago and through its technological innovation Wataniya Telecom has revolutionized the telecom industry in Kuwait and MENA region.
