A recent report on average hotel prices by the rack rates has rated 3 Gulf cities in Muscat, Doha and Dubai having the most expensive hotel rack rates in the World. The report from Hotels.com titled ‘Annual Hotel Price Index 2011′ covers hotels around the World and ranks them every year based on pricing. The three cities are rated as:

[Rank 3]  Doha – Average rack rate per night US$ 270

[Rank 18] Dubai – Average rack rate per night US$ 191
