Hello from Muscat, Oman..

I am in Muscat for the next few days for some RnR. Muscat is a beautiful city surrounded by rocky mountains, stunningly well planned city. Am totally surprised by its pristine landscapes and absolutely superb hospitality. Muscat has been declared the tourism capital /destination of Gulf this year. Flying to Muscat from Kuwait on Fly Dubai, via Dubai took us total of 3 hours which included 1 hour transit in T2 Dubai. Visas are available on arrival for GCC residents and nationals. Visas cost OR 5 per person which is around KD 3.5

There are various options for staying in Muscat from apartments to resorts, but take my word, if you really want to let go of all the stress and your hair down big time there is no excuse for you to stay in an other place than Shangri-La Barr Al Jissa resort. Absolutely magical place which is around 20 mins drive from the city and 45 mins from the airport. Shangri -La is a made up of three hotels, Waha, Bandar, and Husn. If you are travelling with kids, choose Waha or Bandar, Husn doesn’t accommodate patrons under 18 years. Waha and Bandar have lovely salt water (thankfully), pools, tons of kids play areas and pools, including a lazy river.

Any ways enough for today as an introduction… the waves are calling me
