Iftar at Zafran

Iftar at Zafran

Zafran invited us for their iftar buffet earlier this week, and given their amazing culinary skills, I could’nt say no, and so we dropped by at Zafran yesterday. Iftar at Zafran is a complete buffet which includes fantastic selection of salads, snacks, grilled meats, lovely main course and ofcourse lovely sweets. I really loved the selection of Indian snacks like ‘papdi chaat’ and ‘chana aalo’ [chickpeas + potatoes]. The selection of main course included juicy  grilled mixed seafood, poultry, and meats. Apart from these I couldnt resist seconds from the gravys like yoghurt chicken and mixed vegetables. There was light and flavorful chicken biryani accompanied with fresh naans. In the sweets one definetly would ask for more of their sumptuous ’gajar halwa’ [carrot halwa] and the traditional kheer.

Zafran iftar is KD 7.5/- per adult, and KD 4 for children between 5-10 age group. They serve the iftar from 6.30pm till 9pm throughout the Holy month of Ramadaan. Here are some pics from the iftar buffet:
