Sneak peek into MUJI the Japanese lifestyle store in Kuwait, opening on Jan 19th
Yesterday I was invited over at a special preview opening of Japanese lifestyle brand Muji, at The Grand Avenues. This is Muji’s first store in the Middle East. At first glimpse Muji reminds you of IKEA, but smaller in scale and much more refined than the Swedish giant. Muji is distinguished by its design minimalism, emphasis on recycling, avoidance of waste in production and packaging, and no-logo or “no-brand” policy. Every product is beautiful, practical, and serves the needs of every aspect of ones household. From beautifully crafted wooden dinner sets [which are actually reused from left over wood of furniture they do], to compressed fabric cube the size of chocolate bar which expands to an actual shirt when opened, to stunning incense oils, Muji covers every modern home needs.
Muji opens to public on Saturday Jan 19th, 2013 at 5 pm. Muji is located at the end of the The Grand Avenues promenade, near exit 20.
