XCITE Unreal Tournament at Marina Mall
With all the duststorms taking over our lives last week, there wasnt much to do over the weekend, and in the spirit of ‘do nothing’, I was at the Marina Mall, and checking out gadgets at Alghanim XCITE store when one of the guys from the store asked me if I was interested in playing Unreal against their XCTIE gamer. Well the last time I was into FPS was when Quake was at its peak. So had been a while but I decided to give it a shot. Now the idea was that if I could beat the XCITE gamer I could win PS2. Hmm..now lets see first thing was first..show me the controls. WSAD and the mouse clicks..whoaa now even that looked like rocket science to me.
Anyways I got my rusted skills together and gave it a shot, afterall all I had to do was kill the other dude. Man I was in for a surprise, the XCITE gamer just shred me to pieces within seconds, once, twice, thrice…you get the idea. Later I found out that the gamer dude was a pro at all this and globally ranked player.
The gamer dude [Jerry] finally gave me a low down on the entire thing. Seems XCITE will be conducting more of these tourneys in different malls. All you gotta do is kill the XCITE gamer enough number of times to score PS2. I guess they should raise the ante and put up PS3 / XBOX. Overall 150 tried their luck and seems only one 14 year old was able to score it against the gamer. Jerry sent in some pics of the tourney…so if you were there you may be in one of these snaps. Enjoy…and let me practice Unreal. Next time I am making atleast one kill…

I played against him…it was almost impossible to beat that dude ..wonder how the 14 year old got him..must be quite a player
i played on friday too with the dude…he was almost impossible to beat…first i thought he was using cheat codes and then he said we can switch computers..he still wrecked me…wonder how the 14 year old got him…must be quite a player…
