ALERT: (Updates) Death Match Kuwait Times vs Blogger(s)

Some blogger(s) have been fingered by a columnist/journo from Kuwait Times. This seems like a Death Match. Lets see who can identify the blogger who has/have been hit. I believe the journo has had some confrontation with some particular blogger and didn’t exactly like the outcome. And I think looking at the past record of articles that Kuwait Times journos have written in Kuwait Times ranging from lack of love for work, to personal problems, to pointing fingers… to whatchama callit, there needs to be a reality check. Any takers?

There it is, typical, hypocritical journalists complaining about the freedom the blogs have and complaining about the lack of monitoring. Somebody teach the lady 2 things:

    1. it is NOT difficult to track down this person
    2. The #1 rule of blogs: If you don’t like what you read, GTFO.

i don’t remember reading any blogger who always complain about his work
    on safat

i would believe that she is getting a link from someone and is trying to give it more attention

@all: i actually sent her an email for reaction/comments, but no reply so far.
    Hmmm…I guess I might be on her ‘no-reply / no-looky looky’ list.

I didn’t read anything wrong in what she wrote…….!!!

most of us nag about work, life, politics and anything else that move……!!!

we have a blog that is specialized in alwatan news paper, and we have a blogger that talks about the oil industry and the gossips around it……..!!!

we have specialised fashion blogs, filmmaking, political, novelists, and many others…….!!!

she didn’t give the name so that it don’t get the publicity…..!!!

we are not freaks, but at the same time we are not angles either…..!!!

she is still waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better and more profissional than Mona alfuzai3, and the only reason I read the Kuwait times….!!!

I am surprised at your reaction. I don’t think this is a death match at all, it sounds more to me like the writer is advocating blogs. Look at these two quotes:
“You can say anything you want on the blog, but be prepared to hear things said about you. If this is a difficult task to endure, I say do not visit that blog anymore.”
    And this second quote:
“To put it succinctly, the blog is awful, and will never have the public opinion weight that other Kuwaiti blogs have.”
The first quote sounds like something bloggers often say when their blogs get criticized. She’s saying the same thing. If you don’t like the blog move on. How is that offensive to blogging? I’m just puzzled here. In the second quote she shows her recognition of the public opinion weight other blogs have by contrasting it with whatever awful blog she’s talking about. And there’s no link to that blog she’s describing so she’s not even openly criticizing it in the article.

Sometimes I blog about work-related issues too but never have I actually written someone’s name on my blog. It can’t be right to massacre some guy’s name while hiding comfortably behind an alias. I just worry that one day blogs will go as far having a male blogger try to ruin a girl’s rep because she said no to dating him or having an employee blogging about his boss being a thief because he didn’t promote him etc. Then we can talk about death matches :P
