Kuwait inflated prices 2008

Welcome to Kuwait of 2008…and a much needed warm welcome to me back in Kuwait. First impressions….Kuwait is cold weather-wise. To put it more delicately…friggin freezing wet’n cold. The cabbie was a-ok to compare Kuwait to London when he poured in all the chillness of last couple of days about how it went below zero in some places and the skies were pouring in for last 2-3 days.  The sight of puddles  from airport was proof enough. I love the smell of winters in the morning [stop this cheesiness DA]

Got some much needed rest as was flying in overnight..then rushed off to City Center in Salmiya only to be bitten by the inflated price tags all around for groceries. If a 4 pack of milk is KD 1.540/- that says a lot about how the economy is moving and what we can expect in 2008. Prices seems to be raised by around 15-20% in general.

Since I was following up on the blogs from Kuwait, I was waiting to listen to DJ Uruj on Night Ride 7-9 pm, on RKFM 99.70, so tuned in only to find the DJ Missing [err.. missing], and music blaring. Bloggers…what have you done??!! Is the DJ AWOL??!!

Got mailbox flooded with project statuses and seems have got my hands overflowed with workday starting Sunday.

Feels great to be back in Kuwait…am lovin it already!
