It is an honor to have my artwork displayed on your site.
The temple is based on Jerusalem’s Dome of the Rock. The overall shape and main features are all there but it was a challenge to try and duplicate the intricate patterns (and patterns within patterns) in the buildings facades. So most (if not all) of the patterns, tilings, tessellations, etc. are my own.My favorite feature of this model is the curved wall under the dome. By using1×1 round plates and 1×1 and 1×2 plates I was able to build a pattern into the curved wall.
