Seems some retailers are getting cloned phones from China and passing it off as originals in Kuwait. I saw one example in InfoConnect where one of the shops was openly advertising iPhone 3GS for KD 45 [ofcourse a fake one]. What planet do you think we come from…?! Anyways the trend is really disturbing and the rule of thumb is that you rely on big retailers for purchasing phones in Kuwait. The quality is very impressive from face value, but its the inner workings that fails. For a normal consumer it becomes really hard to identify which is real which is fake. Just remember if the price is too good to be true than its a fake. Also always ask for warranty and that too stamped. These fakes are now coming in every model from Nokias, to BlackBerrys, to Apple iPhones, to HTC. I would normally stay from stray shops of Hawally to Sharq dealing in mobile phones both new and used ones.
