Camel races and Camel race track in Kuwait?
Kuwait has a rich history of camel racing. People from all genres of Kuwaiti society participate in the camel racing events. Although the camel racing has been marred in the past with ‘child jockeys issue’, I have heard that this system has been abolished and now they use robotic jockeys during the event. As for the race itself, legally there would be no betting allowed, but I presume internally every sport has some element of money factor discreetly or indiscreetly.

I am really interested in the camel racing event(s) here in Kuwait, and would love to visit the tracks during one such event. As I have never been to one before, I hope its worth it. If anyone has more info on this or has experienced the event(s), feel free to post in comments.
Here are some snaps from Google Earth of a race track, which again I think is for camel racing. From what I understand, one can reach the race tracks through Sulaibiya area. The track is located west of Ahmadi, towards south-west of Kuwait. I guess a 45 minute drive from Kuwait City would take you there. The outermost track is 10 Kms as per path measurements in Google Earth.
