Carrefour & The Avenues : Experience

Visited The Avenues & Carrefour last night. First impressions:
- Avenues is too expansive [big shops, big walkway] and too white, they need to add some colour to it
- I suggest they use diffuse color lights on the wave shapes that hang off the ceiling
- They might even use the same wave shapes for advertising by projecting ads
- The elevators have names(?)
- Parking isnt an issue as long as you are willing to walk from one end to the other, which is darn long if you have shopping bags
- Carrefour parking space sucks as everyone tries to wrestle in the lot under Carrefour
- Do not shop from Carrefour if you park under IKEA, long long pushing of shopping trolley involved
- The guards remind me of US embassy / Military Zone
- Carrefour has lots to offer in terms of goods but still a bit expensive than City Center(s)
- If you are looking for a quick bite while inside Carrrefour, avoid it from the snack-counter, it aint worth it
- Will I go back? Probably not unless I have to take a guest to show around, and its off the route for me
- Probably might go for movies

Now I can feel shopping free and cozy when Carrefour open in Kuwait, the place was fantastic and the product was all there, price? was cheapers than others, and now the landlord was open the gate when we finish shop in Carrefour, so we can sight seeing or window shopping in the mall freely, parking? just remind you when you park just remember the number of the place all trolley boy will find for you, and they said they will have valet parking in front of the Avenue Mall, what the nice shopping there
THE AVENUES IS JUST SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FANTASTIC!! THE BEST MALL IN THE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORLD!! NO NEED TO TRAVEL EVERYTHING IS THERE WAITINF FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR YOOOOOU!!:)

i love carrefour kuwait it is very cheap,clean and comfortable the comments that are in the above of this pg SUCKS! i know the people who doesnt work in carrefour writes the stupid comments i guess the place that they work in pays them for writing them and for the people who says its TOOO expensive and TOOO long they’re all just jealous and tips for the long part try parking near carrefour.
I lived in Dubai for almost 4 years. No doubt! I am a big fan of Carrefour. I recently shifted to Kuwait and I am not sure which place (Alghanim or Carrefour) is better. Is there any comparison? I would love to know abt it.

LOOL .. okay,, Avenues, compared to the other malls here, is great. especially for university students or seniors. movies, shops, cafes, restaurants. the long walks are fine, more space to talk. plus, the amount of restaurants means you pig out, so the walking helps :p its a nice mall. cut the crap .. 7aram 3alaikm .. u9lan i7na sh3indina ’3air il malls:P ..

I did some shopping last night on 9th nov at 2035hours including one suit case.
When i came to the cash counter,the cashier on counter no.12 told the helper to open the suit case and check if anything else in that,,naturally made me upset and i asked the cashier—–if it was your routine check or you did not trust your customer,,,he could not give me satisfied answer.I refered to the manager on duty who said this is their routine check for all and i was not convinced.If careefour does not trust its customers she better stop selling such items but not to upset and reduce the number of its customers.

Carrefore off course is a nice mall for shopping ,one gets everything under one roof i lived in saudi Arabia for the last 15 Yrs and i have always loved and liked to shop in carrefour but how ever i have found a good difference in the prices as compared to Saudi Arabia’s carrefour malls, even though it is more i wish the difference was at least negligible.

Dear Sir;
I just want to inform you that on march 25 i did my grocery there in your store ( which i usually do every month since the day it was opened), i bought 4pcs of maxwell house 3 in 1 coffee mix pouch, we already used 2pcs 2days after that, when i about to open the 3rd one i accidentally noticed the exp.date 16/3/2010. I went to your store the following day and spoke to your supervisor and area manager. They simply told me that if there's nothing happened after you drink that coffee well there's no problem, we'll refund the 200fils (price of the items i bought) and it wont happen again. I dont like the way they answered my complain, maybe that is because i am expat they hanlded it as a simple mistake, no harm done, no need to inform to the management. But if that happened to a citizen, they would probably handled it differently. Im living in riggae that's why carrefour is accessible to us, but i rather go back to the supermarket where i usually do my groceries before.
