International call rates to be slashed by upto 50% in Kuwait

Further to earlier cuts in the International telephone calls rates in 2008, MOC in Kuwait is slashing the call rates by upto 50% to International destinations from January 4th, 2009.
This is a really welcome move from MOC. Now if only MOC can allow VOIP services like Skype things would be more transparent.

The internet is crawling in Middle East after another incident in the Mediterranean where a submarine snapped atleast three cables between Italy and Egypt.
These are major cables carrying upto 75% of traffic. The cables will be back up by December 31.
