Seems handheld camera movies [first-person] have become a horror-norm after the successes of Blairwitch and Cloverfield. Now we have another one coming in October 2008 called Quarantine. The trailers have sprung up with Cloverfield style marketing ploy to lure the movie goers. Something in the apartment..is growling and is after the actors…hmmmm

Quantum of Solace the new James Bond [007] movie trailer has just been released.The new flick looks very promising. Continuing from previous Casino Royale, this movie has dark tones, with tougher looking, hard hitting James Bond character. Will be releasing in November 007 08…till then enjoy the trailer..

Take 120 seems to be a new service for Kuwait market offering iTunes style downloadable content from movies to music for a nominal fee. The content looks like Divx encoded and ofcourse there are no DRM issues here 
There is a vast range of movies, tv shows, music in English, Hindi, and Arabic. From what they have advertised, KD 1 would fetch 4 movies, 50 songs and 6 tv shows. Not bad at all. Its a membership based site and you have to purchase tokens from KD 1 to KD 25. The tokens are time constrained, so you have a time limit to download as many files for a particular token. This is the token breakdown:
1 KD – 24 hrs download time (one user)
2.5 KD – 72 hrs download time (one user)
5 KD – 168 hrs/ 7 days download time (one user)
10 KD – 6 weeks download time (one user)
Gold Package – 25KD for 2.5 months (4 users)

This flick looks like a promising family entertainer with Jack Black, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu as voice overs for the various characters. All mythical kung-fu techniques like crane, tiger, mantis etc are actually portrayed by the characters from respective animal kingdom families. The movie release date is June 6th, 2008.

During the Athaan [prayer call] time, if you are tuned into any FM station in Kuwait apart from BBC, they all play Faith of Islam by Maurice Jarre from the movie ‘The Message‘. Why cant they play the Athaan itself? I mean there has to be some logical reason for this, so any ideas drop in your comments.
