Take 120 seems to be a new service for Kuwait market offering iTunes style downloadable content from movies to music for a nominal fee. The content looks like Divx encoded and ofcourse there are no DRM issues here
There is a vast range of movies, tv shows, music in English, Hindi, and Arabic. From what they have advertised, KD 1 would fetch 4 movies, 50 songs and 6 tv shows. Not bad at all. Its a membership based site and you have to purchase tokens from KD 1 to KD 25. The tokens are time constrained, so you have a time limit to download as many files for a particular token. This is the token breakdown:
1 KD – 24 hrs download time (one user)
2.5 KD – 72 hrs download time (one user)
5 KD – 168 hrs/ 7 days download time (one user)
10 KD – 6 weeks download time (one user)
Gold Package – 25KD for 2.5 months (4 users)
Any takers ?! Has anyone tried this before ?!

Jessica Alba will stare you down..big time. This is all part of PR for a new site www.ibeatyou.com that Alba’s BF has recently launched. The site is itself an interesting concept. You can pick challenges against other contenders or participate in one. Anyways here is the video of “Staring Competition”..
The soundtrack is from LCD Soundsystem [LINK] ‘Tribulations’
During the Athaan [prayer call] time, if you are tuned into any FM station in Kuwait apart from BBC, they all play Faith of Islam by Maurice Jarre from the movie ‘The Message‘. Why cant they play the Athaan itself? I mean there has to be some logical reason for this, so any ideas drop in your comments.

Now some of you may have seen the video, in case you havent, I guess almost all you will immediately recognize this number with the familiar cultic calls of Zoombai Akoombaia. I still remember this was the hottest number in parties when it got released in early 90’s. First time I heard it, it was in Kuwait, a bunch of kids had performed an amazing dance Arabian dance sequence on this number. At that time I thought it was an Arabian number…
Cult of Snap as this number is better known as, was the brainchild of Snap! And not many of you may know this but Snap! is NOT an African-American group but a German band!! The guys behind Snap are Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti but they used aliases Benito Benites and John “Virgo” Garrett III to get a favorable acceptance from the listeners. They had various artists front the vocals like Turbo B and Jackie Harris. Another famous number which is still hot on dance floors around the World is ‘The Power’.
How many of you can repeat the Russian opening of this song?! By the way the Russian line translates into “The American company Transceptor Technologies has started production of the ‘Personal Companion’ computer”. Damn and I thought it had something to do with Sputnik!!
