You can use this trick for a variety of background layouts in advertisements, desktop wallpaper, logo design etc. The idea is to simulate a carbon fiber background using pattern and blending options.
1. Download the following image and set it as a Pattern in Photoshop [EDIT > DEFINE PATTERN]

Here is how to crack CS3 and get rid of the trial period:
1) Complete the installation as usual
2) Go to \Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\AMT
3) Rename the file called application.sif to something else, like application.six
4) Have fun
Update
If P-CS3 stops after January 1 2007, you have two options
1. Re-install PS3 & follow the steps above again
OR
2. Rename application.six [...]

I had to do this. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s snap from CNN website was perfect one to play with. Now Mr President, don’t take it personal but a bit of grooming always goes an extra mile with the modern Presidential protocol. Long live Adobe Photoshop !
