City of Silk [Kuwait] – Watch out Dubai

‘City of Silk’ is a visionary development project for Kuwait and its future. The concept city by Eric Kuhne & Associates is based on concept of magnamous proportions for a futristic city North of Kuwait. Some facts :

1. Name : City of Silk [Madinat Al-Hareer]

2. Location : Subiya – Northern Kuwait

3. Size of Project : 250 Sq Kms

4. Investment : Approx KD 25 Billion

5. Time Period : Phase 1 [5 Years] – Full Project [25 Years] est 2030

6. Population: 750,000

    Im so sorry, but this Project is indeed Pie in the Sky. It will never fly. Parliament will debate it until the cows come home and eventually it will be half the size, half as impressive and probably suffer from the same stinky sulphur smell that plagued the free trade zone…

    just the subiya bridge meant to connect to that city has taken what 8 years to get approval for. and i dont think its even approved yet is it?

    google the following: Phalaborwa, have a look at that bush right next to the Kruger National Park in South Africa….
