They used to be okish but seems now they have forgotten the essence of news publishing when it comes down to online version. News articles dating back nearly a year appear as HOT NEWS ! [see pic] Also updates are very poor. Design is a bit better than previous version. General information below par. They need to seriously take out that JAVA ticker which freezes my entire laptop for couple of seconds while the engine gets initiated.

This is a lifesaver for me because it atleast has the latest news from the daily paper edition updated in the morning. They too need to work seriously on their content and design. Their site doesn’t resemble any news media site, but rather a blog [not a good idea]. And they need to work on typos and grammar too. The real difference between their online edition and paper edition is that, the online edition has only local news which their reporters seem to have worked on. But the paper edition has 80% news from syndications. If they plan and design properly, they can easily pull the same syndicated news as feeds and put them on site. They have an edge over competition and should work on it. If they need any technical help I am always ready to assist
