Famous Bahraini blogger summoned for blogging

mahmood den
Famous Bahraini blogger Mahmood who posts on Mahmoods Den has been summoned by the High Criminal Court after the Minister of Agricultural Affairs and Municipalities, H. E. Mansour Hassan bin Rajab, accussed him of defamation in an earlier article Mahmood posted on his blog.
This sucks, but this is going to be an eye opener verdict whichever way the outcome. This would sort of start a chain reaction of events, authority vs bloggers, in Gulf where blogging has become a stage for people to express their views on topics ranging from weather, to politics, to shopping, to work.
Lets hope Mahmood gets a fair trial.

dont think he will get a fair trail, he may become the scape goat for such blogger in bahrain, so no one else would attempt to talk about the bahraini government!
