My dad gifted me a fantastic pair of Ray-Ban Aviator shades when I visited him recently. To tell you the truth I have always fancied Aviators but never ended up buying one for myself for one reason or the other. Well for some reason it sort of gave me that 80’s feeling whenever I donned them. But now since I have got my own pair, I am in love with them. Aviators are a trademark style from Ray-Ban and the two prominent colors are bottle green and dusky brown. And more important than that is the cult tear drop shape with golden frame.There have been many variations in the design but the classic ones are the best.

Many people have already remarked that I am making the 80’s fashion statement, but hey the only other accessory I prefer apart from ties are shades, and I reserve the right to be choosy on them. BTW legend has it the Aviators were designed for US Pilots who prefered shades that would protect them from sun-glares, but the shades became a fav of celebrities in 80’s. Remember the Top Gun…Tom Cruise on a bike..Oh well nostalgia has hit home
