Friday-Saturday days off confirmed, effective Sept 1

Arab Times has news from an anonymous and reliable government source confirming Friday-Saturday as off days, effective September 1. This has been approved by the cabinet and certain government organizations have already taken steps for this move.

My question is, if such a decision has been taken at cabinet level, why don’t we see official circulars/ads in the mainstream media from the Government. This would lay to rest the confusion on the validity this issue.

  • I think we are going to see a very interesting September. If this is really going to happen, doesn't there need to be some preparation, some instructions to businesses, etc? And Just a month ago, there was an article in the Kuwait Times saying it was definitely OFF, that the weekend would remain Thursday-Friday. Interesting times.
  • they probably wanna do it as quietly as possible so that they surprise the bearded ones when it's too late for them to do anything about it!
