unfortunately this is the current trend…whether its a book or a cinema or naming something people do it for making it famous..

Frankly, I am okay with the name being as such. The Jewish community may deem it offensive, but what has happened has happened. The Holocaust has passed, and Hitler has died, maybe it is time to let bygones be bygones, and not wallow in pain all day long.

When it comes to using this name, I believe that the owner is just trying out a new concept, which in my opinion, is more of creative than of offensive. Moreover, there is zero indication in the restaurant of the massacres that took place, such as violent pictures and videos. The owner also did not hand out any pro-Nazi information and such, and I feel that the naming is neutral, neither pro-Hitler nor anti-Hitler.

I feel that there is much unneeded paranoia arising from this instance. In fact, being over-conservative and using the past to back up one’s reason to have the name of this restaurant changed is going to stifle creativity. People should be more open-minded and be able to tell that there is no obvious hint of recreating the Nazi regime or anything. It is just, as stated, a name.
