Please Advise: Visa issue for Kuwait

Submitted by DA on Friday, 13 July 20072 Comments

Dear readers, I got this email from a lady in South Africa who is planning to visit Kuwait for work. I am including her email content as is with changes to some name(s) of person and business(s). Please advise her what she should do?

Dear Sir/Madam,
Could you please advise me in the following matter.

I have been granted a work visa by the Kuwiati Foereign Affairs office. I will
be travelling on my South Africa Passport.

I will be working at the XYZ School of Fahaheel as a pre-primary
teacher as of the new school year.

I will be accompanied by my four year old son. He will be travelling on his
German Childrens Passport.

I have been advised by my employers that he need not apply for a visa prior to
arrival, as it will be stamped into his passport on arrival in Kuwait. However,
the Kuwaiti Embassy here in South Africa, has advised me that this is not the
case, and that he requires a visa prior to departure.

Could you please advise me of how to proceed, as I am unable to get hold of my
employeers as they are all on holiday.

Yours sincerely,

Ms. ABC
