Rhythm & Blues from yester years that still demand respect
Music is soul, music is rhythm, and music is blue and music today owes a lot to the rhythm and blues that surfaced in US during 1940-50 and moved on to create a genre that till today is as prevalent as it was then. Although RnB as its called started as Blues and Rhythm, a genre sprouted from the African Americans, the entire RnB genre got transformed into rock & roll and then got blanketed with soul, fusion and disco. The genre sort of completed its circle of life with music and dance and whacky moves that became legendary with more legendary performers. Here are of my fav RnB numbers…
Booker T & MG’s – Green Onions [60]
This number will get you to wiggle your toes and swing a bit..
Willie Dixon – Bassology [66]
Ike & Tina Turner – Whole lotta love [1975]
James Brown [78]
Wait till 1:56 and see the grand master teach you some funky moves..
Eruption – I cant stand the Rain [1978]
Boney M – Daddy Cool

Would that it be there was a Jazz or R&B Club in Kuwait. Even if they had to charge a high cover to make up for the lack of alcohol sales, the place would print money for the owners. Maybe make up by selling food, like some clubs in the states. And I don’t think there would be any issues with religion and music.
