Sounds more like seizure to me. I guess there was some discussion about making it a single state(not sure about that).
It is the greatest robbery ever.
Its all about water. In order to survive Israel requires water. Which it gets from the Sea of Galilee and the extended coast line from where it desalinates and uses the sea water. The Dead sea provides it with minerals and a great tourist destination.
Actually, whoever put this up had any idea what they were talking about, they’d realize that the land given to Israel was land that had a Jewish majority, putting these Jews under Arab rule would be inhumane, especially considering the rising anti-Semitism in the Arab world.
After defeating the arab states in a defensive war, Israel annexed land. This was not illegal nor immoral, it’s what happens in war. And Israel had just as much right to the land annexed in the war as anyone else.
In ‘67, Israel defeated three Arab states in a preemptive war (though the blocking of the Straits of Tiran by Egypt was an act of war). Still, they offered the land back, that’s why Egypt got Sinai back and a few miles East of the Jordan went back to Jordan. Egypt gave up Gaza (’cause they didn’t want it0 and Jordan gave up the West Bank (because they didn’t want it either).
