Time 6:45am, activity scramming for work, took wallet; check, took specs; check, took mobile; check, took laptop; check…….wham. The laptop on chair, the strap of laptop bag around the chair, and in a hurry to rush out, the chair followed the laptop, and wham bam thank you ‘toe’, the stupid chair trips over and slams straight on my toe. And it had to be the tiniest one, the last one..oh such pain, such excruciating pain.
Thats the story of yesterday..but anyways, I braved the initial strike of pain, and put on my shoes, and went off to work. An hour into the day the the pain shot through the roof, rushed straight to a medic, and as expected was asked to get an X-Ray. By the time I was taken into the x-ray room, my shoes were in the boot [?!] of my car, and I was walking in socks. That helped in relieving the pain a bit. So the x-ray comes out and voila…nada, nothing, zilch, zip. Great so the medic says its called ‘trauma’ of ‘toe’. Got prescribed a Retard..actually Brufen Retard..oh the irony.
Anyways the story so far…the xray and medics have cleared me, but the trauma has caused me to limp around for couple of days, can wear shoes while walking short distance only, but rest of the time am barefoot. There is pain while walking but being barefoot feels quite relaxing though.
Here is a great video that tells you how to know if your toe is broken…
