Q8Contest under the patronage of Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah is conducting a website design contest in Kuwait. Here are the details:

• The competition is open for residents in the State of Kuwait.
• Competitors will be categorized as follows:
  • Under 16 years old.
  • From 16 to Under 22 years old.
  • From 22 and Above.
• Competitors are required to complete the electronic application form.
• Goals of websites and homepages should be clear, beneficial and should not contradict the public ethics. Some guidlines the committee looks for in a website includes:
  • Design and ease of use.
  • Information usefulness and updates
  • Services provided by the website
  • Technical details (database use, scripting, etc…)
  • and others
• No major changes should be made from the closing date of the competition and until the final results are announced.
• A professional independent group will do the evaluation and their verdicts will be final.
• Last date for entering the competition is November 15 2006.
