The moment I saw this snap of Putin on the cover of Time, I knew it would be awarded at some stage, and guess what it did win. Many other brilliant snapshots are covered in the World Press Photo 2008 winners galleries. One of my favs is the Winner of Sports Features series which has shots of marathon runners at the finishing line. The surreal expression of pain, joy, sorrow and sportsmanship has been captured brilliantly in a way never seen before. Enjoy..
