and when I showed them the KFH web sites and brochures the KFH employer told me

Yes, gulf bank is the worst. In May when my account was opened I showed them a plan from their brochure and asked whether that was my type of account. The woman said yes, I also specifically asked whether the clause mentioned there reagrding no minimum balance required for the 1st year applied to me and she again said yes. 6 months later they deducted KD 4 and when I enquired was told that it’s for not maintaining minimum balance for May and June (2 KD per month) which basically means they will be deducting for the remaining months as well. When I asked them about what they said earlier the idiot at the counter says no no for that you need above KD 1000 salary although no such thing is mentioned in the brochure. Of course the guy doesn’t know what my salary is so he was just assuming that a being a bloody beggar Indian my salary will be atmost 200 bucks. The company of course won’t allow me to have an account elsewhere to save the cost of paper and ink by not having to write a letter every month to some other bank. Can’t wait to get the hell out of this place – hope my MS admission in US for January comes through soon.
