WTF: Ostrich eggs in Lulu Center

I cant imagine a reason for taking home an ostrich egg. I have to admit I was shocked at the size and sight of these. At KD 2.150 a pop, you can grab these biggies from Lulu Center in Shuwaikh. Look in the eggs section [duh]
Its hard to find recipes for these monstrosities..here is one for the not-so faint hearted; Scrambled Ostrich eggs [LINK]…Oh yeah and you can use the oversized shell as serving dish for the recipe. Thats creepy…
But imagine the art lesson painting those eggs in class? However, who would blow out the yolk for you- some job.

The price has really increased, it was KD.1.640 back in March when I took the pic. Not that it would really affect us in any way.
